Allegro vivace Abstract: In this masterclass, Professor Helmerson gives some interesting tips to work on Brahms’ second sonata, e.g., the idea of showing that something new is coming, the concentration of the energy, different bow strokes in several moments -bariolage, flageolet…-, the attention to the length of a note -a string player should know the moment to stop the note (or the bow)-, flexibility in phrasing, the concentration in each movement of the arm and the need to feel what the pianist does. *********** By donating to the School, you help support the free tuition of more than 150 young great talents from all around the world, while we bring Classical music closer to society.
