Rachmaninoff: Etude-Tableaux No.5 in E-flat Minor (Lugansky)

A darkly brooding study in maintaining melodic clarity over thunderous chords. As always, Lugansky is excellent with counterpoint, and the chantlike melody sings beautifully.
