Analysts: Inauguration of Ram temple not as big an election boost as India’s ruling BJP hoped
The city of Ayodhya where the controversial Ram temple is located, goes to polls on May 20. The inauguration of the Hindu temple by Prime Minister Narendra Modi this year, in time for the elections, was seen as his trump card to secure a record third term win. But as the election progresses, analysts say it may not be as big of a draw for Indian voters, as the governing Bharatiya Janata Party had hoped. Priyata Brajabasi reports.
