DIP Switches To The Rescue: 555 Timer Duty Cycle In this video we look at one method of keeping a consistent duty cycle while changing frequencies on an astable 555 multivibrator. In our example I’ve used a 50k trimmer pot to adjust the duty cycle close to 50%. So to switch between frequencies we use a DIP switch to switch between 3 discrete ceramic capacitors.
