Punjabi’s are know for their delicious sweet recipes. Some of the best Baisakhi recipes that are prepared for this festival are Moong dal halwa. Moong dal halwa Ingredient quantity Moong dal soaked 1 cup Water 2 cup Sugar 2 tbsp Cardamom powder 1 tsp Saffron spray as required Ghee 3 tbsp Assorted nut ¼ cup Khoya ½ cup Method: step1: Grind the soaked moog dal without water. Moog dal paste should be coarse or smooth. step 2 : Heat the 2 cups of water, Add 2 tbsp of sugar.( you can choose to add bit of milk to clean the sugar) Step 3: As it starts boiling, add 1 tbsp cardamom powder, add saffron. step 4: you will notice the saffron color. as sugar melts, keep aside the sugar syrup. Step 4: heat 3tbsp ghee in a pan, Add moog dal paste and stir continuously
