Short biography of Rolfe Monteith () Rolfe joined the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) in 1941 and served with the Royal Navy for the remainder of the Second World War. During 1943 he served as a Midshipman on HMS Hardy, a Royal Navy destroyer that was part of the Home Fleet based in Scapa Flow. It was their job to meet the Arctic convoys that had been assembled at Loch Ewe and to escort them
