Friends, I’m grateful to my friend Ben Shapiro for inviting me back on his show to discuss the Eucharist, Christianity’s Jewish roots, and the Kantian reduction of religion to ethics. The Eucharist has deep Jewish roots, and when we divorce the sacrament from these roots and tradition, it becomes easier to see it as only a symbol. But we must remember there is an embodied quality to the Eucharist and to religion in general.
