Moscow, Russia, Soviet Union (USSR). 1943? Russian title reads ’On December 11th, President of USSR, Mr Mikhail Ivanovich Kalinin, is visited by the President of Czechoslovakia Doctor Eduard Benes’. Door opens and several men enter the room towards camera. President of Czechoslovakia Doctor Eduard Benes with his host President of the Soviet Union Mr Kalinin and several other men stand in front of door posing to photographers. Intertitle in Russian says that on 12th of December, Dr Benes arrived at Kremlin and the pact between Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia was signed. Various shots of the signing ceremony - Molotov, Stalin, Benes, Kalinin, Voroshilov, are all seen during the signing. Intertitle in Russian informs that Mr Kalinin and Dr Benes exchanged speeches after the signing. Several shots of Mr Kalinin speaking. He expresses happiness for the signing etc. Mr Kalinin and Dr Benes shake hands before Mr Benes addresses gathering - in Russian.
