This version is seldom heard, and very rare. We have all heard the “Naked“ CD version and the “Let It Be“ film version, but you never hear take 18 the version that Phil Spector used when adding his “Wall of Sound“ to the song. This is the take that was used in the 1970 Let It Be LP release after Spector added a choir, an orchestra, and more overdubs. The version in this video is the raw version without Phil Spector’s overdubs. The sound quality is excellent and it’s probably a better version than the “Naked“ version, which is probably why Spector used this version for the LP and 45 single release.
