Simeon wins Public League title behind Chicago’s top duo Zachary Norvell + Evan Gilyard

South Side Kenwood Academy (19-4) played in the Chicago Public League’s title game for the first time in school history when they faced South Side powerhouse Simeon (24-3) at Chicago State University in front of 6,000 fans (hugely Kenwood supporters). Winning his first varsity city title of his career 54-49, Simeon senior and leading-scorer Zachary Norvell (Gonzaga) finished with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. He led every aspect of Simeon’s first 3 quarters of the game.
