Over 2000 people have been evacuated from their homes due to a forest fire in Costa del Sol, Spain. The forest fire fighting service reported that 2300 evacuees were instructed not to return to their homes overnight “as a precautionary measure.“ Most of them have found alternative accommodation with relatives, with only a small number of people needing to use temporary housing provided by local authorities. The forest fire, has spread rapidly due to strong winds and dry conditions in the region.
