1:15 for shot
First live fire test of the Salvo 712, a 7 barreled single shot 12 gauge shotgun/volleygun made out of plumbing pipe and scrap metal. I got the shotgun to a shoulder-fireable state and wanted to confirm that it wouldn’t explode before sinking any additional time into it.
The gun weighs in at ~40lb. While the total recoil impulse is extreme, the weight and running shoe recoil pad reduce peak force enough that it isn’t at all painful to shoot. It was enough knock my glasses and headphones completely off my face. Compared to a 3lb slambang shotgun, it is pleasant to shoot.
