The verbs ‘make’ & ‘do’ are the most easily confused.
Although they both imply activity, they have different meanings in sentences.
- When we use DO with noun phrases, we focus on the process of acting or performing something. For example, ‘do homework’.
- When we use MAKE with noun phrases, we emphasise more the product or outcome of an action. For example, ‘make a sandwich’.
