A man carries a child’s body wrapped in a white shroud while wading through rainwater in Gaza’s Jabalia refugee camp. As winter sets in, heavy rain has triggered flooding in various parts of Gaza. Alongside ongoing bombings and air strikes, the cold weather has further threatened displaced people and contributed to an outbreak of diseases. More than 18,000 people in Gaza have been killed in the Israeli attacks since the seventh of October.
