We then see an electrician demonstrating how carbon lamps work using what looks like very old equipment. His carbon lamp is compared to a modern high pressure mercury vapour lamp, which in turn is compared to 6 ordinary household lamps. (Location of events unknown.) Several shots of two chimpanzees boxing in a small ring. A man in jodhpurs acts as referee and gives one chimp a drink from a bottle. Some shots are speeded up.
