Raised foamed channels - Upholstery

✅Get our courses at: ----------------------------------- I want to share one way to topstitch high relief channels. In previous videos I have already shown this method. A narrow presser foot is useful for this task. I was after one of these items on the internet with no success. So, I made up my mind to make a hand made one. So far, it works out perfectly. As we can see the narrow feet freely run along the crevice bottom between the 1.8 cm thick foam pads. The foam thickness could be higher. I think, if I would have used a regular foot it would have been almost method could somehow replace the tuck&roll method. In the following video I will show how a ’boxing panel’ is sewn down to the main panel without altering the bulky view of the raised channels. It will be necessary another special foot to do the sewing. This demonstration is done in vinyl but it could also be leather or fabric. I hope you find useful tips in this video!
