Antonio Vivaldi - Siciliano

Antonio Vivaldi’s genius is exuded in ’Siciliano’, formally referred to as Concerto for Two Violins, Op. 3 No. 11 - 2. Largo e spiccato (Special thanks to Luen Lin for making that observation), performed by the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, an understated yet beautiful and melancholic piece. It can be found on the album Masters of Classical Music: Vivaldi. The painting, entitled ’Landscape and the Funeral of Phocion’ or ’O funeral de Fócion’, is by the artist Nicolas Poussin.
