The department was obligated to release the footage under a police accountability law passed in 2020 that set deadlines for the release of body camera footage. Denver police released eight video clips of the shooting- five from officers’ body cameras, two from the Larimer Beer Hall’s video security system and one from an overhead HALO street camera, all showing roughly the same period of time around 1:35 a.m. on July 17, 2022, from different angles.
