Mega Man X3 - Neon Tiger Perfect Run (No Damage, Uncharged Buster-Only, No Upgrades)

While I sadly missed the opportunity to post this on the Chinese New Year, today, we take on a Perfect Run of Neon Tiger from Mega Man X3. This stage has a few individual challenges that can catch you off-guard if you don’t have the best reflexes, starting with the red Hamma Hamma enemies. These guys are quite tanky and require many hits to destroy. Their mace arms can deflect your shots and can reach out a good distance, so be sure to be careful. Pelting them with bullets before they even get the chance to attack is the best way to deal with them. After making your way through the first batch of them, you’ll eventually be met with the mid-boss of the stage, Worm Seeker-R. It’ll move up and down the screen, burrowing into the ground and ceiling while occasionally firing small mines that’ll bounce around the arena. Simply dodge or jump over the mines when needed, notice and anticipate where the worm will come out from, and fire at it when it’s vulnerable and you’ll be good to go. Once you’ve destroyed the Worm Seeker, you’ll have some more Hamma Hamma’s to get through. In addition, there will be a few Meta Capsules that will try and take a few shots at you. The one at 2:47, in particular, can be a bit of a pest if you don’t destroy it before facing the Hamma Hamma, so make sure you do. Near the end of this section are Atareeter’s that will chip away at the ground, revealing small spikes that’ll hurt you if you touch them. The faster you clear them, the less time they’ll have to make spikes. Finally, it’s time for the encounter with Neon Tiger himself. This one is all about memorizing the patterns of how he fires his Ray Splasher and having some good reflexes. For starters, Neon Tiger will frequently move around the arena. However, he will sometimes pause and fire five shots of his Ray Splasher, and he can do this from wherever he is in the room. When he fires his shots, they will come out in the same order every time, however, the direction and specific order he fires in are dependent on where you are in relation to him. For example, if Neon Tiger is clinging on to the wall and you are standing under him, he’ll fire a set pattern of shot directly above you. If you’re standing diagonal to him, he’ll fire a set pattern diagonally toward you. I apologize if this explanation doesn’t make much sense, but hopefully it can in the video. With that aside, you’ll want to be ready to move at any moment, as you never know if Neon Tiger will stop moving to attack or if he’ll try and trick you by briefly pausing before moving, again. Once he reaches half health, he’ll start using another move where he charges up, dashes towards you, and slashes upward with his claws. This attack can easily be avoided by jumping over him, and it’s a great opportunity to fire at him when he cools off, afterward. Like with the Worm Seeker, if you anticipate Tiger’s movements, then you’ll be able to anticipate a satisfying victory. Created using WeVideo. While I’m happy with what I’ve created, so far, I want to take a bit of time to create several videos in advance so I don’t feel the burnout of scrambling to make videos in time with my schedule. That being said, I appreciate those of you who have been following my content. While I’ve said it a few times before, I am very appreciative of all the support I can get. Until next time, take care. 🧀
