“My Life is Vibration“ - Halim El-Dabh, composer

23 percussionists have joined together to commission Halim El-Dabh to compose a new work for solo vibraphone. I traveled to Kent, Ohio to spend a day working with Halim on the piece. The following morning we headed out to his backyard to enjoy the ambient soundscape and talk about vibration, composing, color music, his new work for vibraphone, and a thousand other things.
