Kowloon Walled City performing ’Wrong Side of History’ and ’Backlit’ live at South East London Recording Studio, The Bookhouse. Kowloon Walled City are a heavy band from Oakland, California. They’ve released various EPs and splits, and three LPs, including ’Grievances’ which was released in 2015 to critical acclaim. They have toured the world with many great bands - including Neurosis in summer 2019. When that tour reached the UK, KWC branched off and played a few headline shows, starting with The Underworld, Camden on . Before they headed to the venue to load in, they swung by The Bookhouse and played a couple tunes for us. These were recorded entirely live, in one take. We’re grateful for them taking the time - they were lovely people, really pro, and sounded sick. There’s no artificial reverb, or samples, or anything like that in this mix. We hope you enjoy this as much as we enjoyed recording it.
