Chloë Grace Moretz Interview: Why a Movie Like Nimona Is So Rare

Nimona, the long-anticipated animated film based on the graphic novel by ND Stevenson is finally arriving on Netflix. The story follows the titular Nimona, a young woman who can shapeshift at will, who one day decides to work as the evil sidekick to disgraced ex-knight Ballister Blackheart (Riz Ahmed). But as the two work to clear his name of the murder charge he is facing, Nimona, too, is forced to face the past that led her here and what it means to be a “monster“ in a world that sees in black and white terms. In this one-on-one interview with Collider’s Arezou Amin, Chloë Grace Moretz, who voices the title character Nimona, sat down to talk about what drew her to the project, and getting the chance to develop the character beyond what she was in the graphic novel. She also talked about ad-libbing her performance, and which moment was her favorite, as well as which scene really exemplifies the heart of the story. Moretz also dove into the process of relating to her character, and how she shows the raw emotions through her voice performance. #chloegracemoretz #nimona #netflix For interviews, movie reviews, and more visit FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL
