Latest! U.S. and Italy dispatched several warships, and two aircraft carriers, to support Israel

The Gerald R. Ford and Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Groups, along with the U.S. Sixth Fleet command ship USS Mount Whitney, are operating in the Mediterranean Sea. The Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group includes the first-in-class Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy, and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Ramage and USS Paul Ignatius. The ships are under the Secretary of Defense’s direction.
