IRyS - Only In Hope (Metalcore Remix)

The first proper song on the Journey EP -- and what an amazing opener it is. IRyS & company bring their A game; that synth line leading up to the guitar solo is just 🤘🤘🤘. (IRyS also seems to be doing James Hetfield impression in the pre-chorus, lol.) For this remix, I wanted to try a subgenre I haven’t done before, like I said I’d do at the start of the year. I had one in mind that seemed to be completely foreign to me: metalcore. I started listening up on bands like Trivium, Killswitch Engage, and most notably Avenged Sevenfold, and that was when I realized something: this sounds a lot like some of my own music. A lot. Like, I’m pretty sure my Hinotori and Usseewa remixes could be lumped in there. It’s no suprise that those bands would be right up my alley.
