Visit Visit our website Dating to the late 1960s/early 1970s, this raw footage shows U.S. Army soldiers delivering supplies to a South Vietnamese school. The boxes are marked “CARE“, and some of the contents visible include a football (1:28). The delivery was almost certainly part of an effort to win the hearts and minds of Vietnamese civilians during the long Vietnam conflict. Motion picture films don’t last forever; many have already been lost or destroyed.
