Autumn Days in Alaska | Harvesting Vegetables for Winter Storage

We enjoy the fall season in Alaska in the garden harvesting cabbage, carrots, celery and more. After cleaning and processing our produce, they are ready for our unique storage spaces. We make sauerkraut for the winter months and try an Italian celery meatball dish with fresh grouse and homemade creamy sorrel pesto. ๐“๐ฎ๐ฌ๐œ๐š๐ง ๐‚๐ž๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐‘๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ฉ๐ž - *changes made - 1 small yellow onion added with celery (included in boiling) and sourdough breadcrumbs were used ๐’๐จ๐ซ๐ซ๐ž๐ฅ ๐‚๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ฒ ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ ๐ซ๐ž๐๐ข๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ - 12 cups loosely packed
