Alligator with missing jaw finds new home

A tiny alligator who lost her nose and upper jaw, most likely in a collision with a boat, has found a forever home at Florida’s Gatorland reptile park. The gator made waves on social media, which led the staff at Gatorland to perform a rescue mission, bringing her from about 20 miles (32 kilometers) away. ‘She had basically no chance of surviving in the wild with such a severe injury,’ said the park in a social media post. Now, however, the gator will live the rest of her life in ‘alligator paradise,’ according to her excited caregivers in her introductory video. The park is also asking the public to come up with names for the gator, although it goes without saying that anyone who suggests ‘Gator McGatorface’ will be immediately shunned by society, if society has any sense.
