The way I imagined their backstory in order to create their perfect home... The parents moved around a lot & loved to travel but ultimately there’s no place like home so they returned to their updated suburban abode where they can now settle into a more anchored, relaxed & comfortable lifestyle in their beloved suburbia. I wanted to give them a traditional yet very stylish modern home, filled with souvenirs that they’ve picked up during all their travels around the world, like art, vases, books, etc. Since they now work from home, I transformed [my] former room into a chic & functional office whilst remodeling the extra room into a cozy guest room. Also, to have more creative freedom - like rotating various items & the ability to build a pool with real water(devs c’mon now, make it happen soon please) - I built it in sandbox mode but kept all the measurements(lot & home) identical to the original build. Additionally, I made a ton of custom content like furniture, decor accents, paintings, etc. since we still don’t have any dlcs to spruce things up with.
