21st December 2002, Middlesbrough are beaten 2-0 by Arsenal at Highbury. Boros Australian international Luke Wilkshire is booked for a foul on Giovanni Van Bronkhorst. The resulting free-kick is diverted (you’ve guessed it...) “into the back of the net“ (see other videos for back story on this if you can be Arsed) by Sol Campbell. Wilkshire later fouls Robert Pires and is sent off for a second yellow card and Pires seals Arsenals win with the second goal.
