Argos for Flute Alone, by Salvador Espasa. Roberto Álvarez, Flute

In the Greek mythology Argos was a one hundred-eyed giant. Zeus transformed her lover Io into a heifer to avoid the suspicion of his wife, Hera. Argos became the guardian of this heifer, which brought the anger of Zeus. Hermes, Zeus’ son, made Argos to fall asleep by playing a magic melody with his flute, and the murdered him in his sleep. Hera then took his eyes to embellish the tail of her sacred bird, the peacock.
