2 month online speaking club for kids reflection

In 2023, we started a big collaboration from an amazing English education center in China - Zhao Yang Education! We designed a special speaking program for pre-teens where we have two groups and my dear program partner Laura and I rotate them after 1 month so the students can hear different accents, and experience different programs. 🌈Here are the summaries of our first two months and some things we did together: **Class 1️⃣ aims & summary:** The students will play various speaking games to introduce themselves in innovative ways. They will learn adjectives for describing personalities & appearances. **Class 2️⃣ aims & summary:** The students will present the All About Me worksheets they were sent for homework and have a role-play interview. **Class 3️⃣ aims & summary:** Expanding vocabulary by discussing hobbies and interests. Sharing their own hobbies and interests with the class, as well as learn about their peers’ likes and dislikes. **Class 4️⃣ aims & summary:** Speaking about their family members and friends. Sharing anecdotes and stories about important people in their lives, helping them develop their storytelling and communication skills.  **Class 5️⃣ aims & summary:** Discussing their dreams and aspirations for the future. Learning how to express their goals and ambitions in English. **Class 6️⃣ aims & summary:** Learning how our game classroom operates, designing their game avatars (characters) and using the appearance vocabulary in context. **Class 7️⃣ and 8️⃣ aims & summary:** Embarking on a fantasy adventure quest together. Building a collaborative game world together where each student contributes a part of the narrative. They need to use everything they learned about each other in previous classes.  💥What do you think about our first months of the speaking program?💥 We loved our first two months and we cannot wait to have many more lessons until August 2024 with Zhao Yang Education!
