Walking in San Gimignano, Tuscany, Italy | 4K HDR 60 FPS | City Ambience Sounds | ASMR

Welcome to my walking tour in the beautiful city of San Gimignano in Tuscany, Italy. Named after Saint Geminianus, who supposedly conjured up a dense fog to save the city of Modena from Attila the Hun, San Gimignano was founded in the 3rd century. Between the gentle valleys of the Valdelsa and the enchanting hills of the Siena area lies the town of San Gimignano, surrounded by a protective wall from the 11th century and characterized by an intact medieval charm. In 1199, once its citizens had grown wealthy, San Gimignano separated from the bishops of Volterra and became self-governing. The city’s distinctive towers were created in the competition between its wealthy citizens, who wished to display how much money they had. In its prime, the city had 72 towers. This is the Tuscany that tourists like most, the Tuscany of wheat fields, grapevines and ancient towns, the Tuscany of Chianti and Val D’Orcia, good cuisine and incomparable beauty. San Gimignano was declared a World Heritage Site
