Erik Morales vs Armando Castro June 2, 1995 720p Telemundo Spanish Commentary

An only 18 years old Erik Morales enters his 16th professional bout and brings a record of 15-0 (13 KOs) to the ring with him. In the opposing corner is the 32 year old Armando “Montsrou“ Castro, who has much more experience than Erik, as can be seen with his record of 47-13-3 (38 KO’s) and the fact that he’d had three World Super Fly title challenges some years prior to this fight. In his previous bout 5ish months prior, Castro went to Glasgow, Scotland, for a fight which saw him being stopped on his feet via TKO in the fourth round in what was a truly abysmal showing against future Featherweight champion ’Prince’ Naseem Hamed. Hamed, as with Morales in his fight with Castro, entered the ring with an 15-0 (13 KO’s) pro record and was 20 yrs old to Morales’ 18.
