What Is God?

God, or the Creator, is not a person, not some entity with a beard sitting on a cloud handing out reward and punishment. The Creator is the enlivening, governing force behind all of reality. When scientists look for the building blocks of Nature, they find a singular force that drives it all. This is a giving force, providing, i.e., bestowing life to reality. Its quality is complete unconditional bestowing, life-giving, as an infinite Sun, the perpetual intention of love. Kabbalists describe how we can attain this glue, this force by recognizing then correcting the breakage between us, restoring connection, this way creating a laboratory between us to find this hidden, singular, connecting, loving force behind everything.
