Ben Harper- Excuse Me Mr. / Burnin’ And Lootin’ (Multiple Live Versions, 1997-2012 / Audio Only)

Ben Harper performs Excuse Me Mr. / Burnin’ And Lootin’ . Ben Harper frequently covered Bob Marley in concert over the first decade of his recording and touring career, often bridging from an original composition into the opening verse and chorus of a Marley classic (Don’t Take That Attitude To Your Grave / Concrete Jungle; Oppression / Get Up, Stand Up; Jah Work / Exodus). His Excuse Me Mr. / Burnin’ And Lootin’ medley became a staple of setlists in the late 1990s, early 2000s. Here are six live versions, four performed with The Innocent Criminals, Ben’s longtime band (the line-up on these recordings is their 1997-2001 iteration: Ben Harper on guitar and vocals, Juan Nelson on bass, Dean Butterworth on drums, David Leach on percussion), and two performed solo.
