Japanese Calligraphy Tutorials: Writing Kanji #15 風- Wind
In this episode of Kanji Writing we take a look at the kanji 風 meaning “wind“. The challenge with this kanji is to balance the middle part with the outside. Also, stroke number 2 should have a fluidity resembling that of a strong wind. This Kanji is really fun to brush in Gyōsho and Sōsho styles.
This kanji also composes the word 神風 “kamikaze“ which means “divine wind“.
