Tour of my buried & unearthed meditation books

In this video, I share some of the meditation books I have made and buried in the ground and unearthed. Some of them I washed in the lake near my house and some I washed in rainwater while it was pouring rain. I hope you enjoy seeing these books and maybe they’ll inspire you to try burying a book too. I find this process deeply healing and mysterious, it connects intimately to the inner healing journey I have been on where I have been digging up what was buried long ago inside of me and unearthing pain and wounds to bring them into the light so they can heal. I used a variety of materials for my fabric meditation books including vintage Japanese shibori, boro and kaya fabrics, naturally dyed and second hand linens, Tibetan yak down yarn from Love Fest Fibers, hand spun nettle yarn dyed with indigo from India, lotus seed meditation beads, found stones and Japanese sashiko threads.
