Two Argentinian natives – both recognised as child prodigies from Buenos Aires – Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim don’t just have their cultural roots in common, but also their particular interest in chamber music. In this live video recording from the Philharmonie Berlin in 2014, Martha Argerich and Daniel Barenboim perform a repertoire spanning from the classics to modernism. The programme ends with the two-piano version of Stravinsky’s avant-garde “The Rite of Spring”, one of the most influential musical works of the 20th century.
