Wicked Game - Maria Yacoob - Jazz Dance Class at Pineapple Dance Studios

Maria teaches jazz dance from beginner up to advanced level. All her classes emphasise correct technique, core strength, and the expression of music and emotion through movement. Her beginner classes offer a good gateway into basic technical jazz, and Dance Today magazine said, “it would be difficult to find a better beginner class in any genre of dance” when it reviewed her class. As the levels progress up a working knowledge of jazz and ballet is required. Maria’s choreography takes in a wide range of influences across the spectrum of jazz dance including musical theatre, contemporary, ballet and even classic dances such as the Charleston or the jive.
