Modeling Mode - Polygroups

This video attempts to explain Polygroups, a system in Modeling Mode that allows you to group triangles of a mesh into sets that can are useful across the Modeling Toolset. After explaining basic Polygroup concepts, I demonstrate some basic usage of “polygroup“ modeling, which allows you to edit triangle meshes in a way that is similar to (but far more flexible than) standard polygonal modeling. Polygroups can also be used to control UV generation, and for assigning Materials to mesh regions. Finally I will demonstrate how Polygroups can be used to set up and control complex “soft“ mesh free-form deformations.
