Jose Gallegos | San Antonio FC

Jose Gallegos is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who plays for San Antonio FC. He was still playing high school soccer until a few months ago. He broke through last season where he showed off his skill and during this season’s preseason and the first game he was emerging as a key player. He signed his first pro contract back in February which meant he would no longer be going to college in the fall. Gallegos is a Mexican-American dual-national. He was going to be called up to the U20 camp in March that was canceled. He is an extremely unique prospect, we haven’t seen a player with his ’South American’ flair, potentially ever. He’s a good striker of the ball, works hard defensively, is a monster on the ball, and an above-average passer. Honestly, one of my favorite youth prospects we have and his rise has been unconventional but he’s quickly rising up the ranks.
