Today Ilya Alekseyev will take you on the journey of making the Heretic. The sword that won him the Best Sword of the Year award at Bladeshow 2021. In this video he will cover the classical inspirations that lead him to design and create this masterpiece work of art. Ilya will go over how he made the mosaic damascus and how he constructed and forged the blade. He will show you how he forges the guard and pommel and how he does all the amazing engraving and inlay work on all of the pieces. Making the Heretic took on and off over a years time.
