With a smirk on his face. And I had a few thoughts. In fact, I was disgusted by it. It infuriated me. And here’s why. There are places in this state where people have nowhere to work, where beautiful buildings are in complete disrepair, where people are sleeping on the sidewalk. And so the fact that any person in charge of anything in this country, especially in this state, would spend time, money, or care about another country’s problems infuriates me. It astounds me. Damn you! A leader’s only job is to care about the people he leads, period. Not to end global climate change. Not to defeat Vladimir Putin or anyone else.
