Gosha’s first steps to recovery (Patterning by Doman’s method)

This video shows some of exercises (programs for brain-injured children) Gosha does on his way to recovery to avoid spastic infantile paralysis: Patterning -- manipulation of limbs and head in a rhythmic fashion Creeping -- forward bodily movement with the abdomen in contact with the floor Crawling -- forward bodily movement with the abdomen raised from the floor Receptive stimulation -- visual, tactile and auditory stimulation Masking -- breathing into a rebreathing mask to increase the amount of carbon dioxide inhaled, which is believed to increase cerebral blood flow Brachiation -- swinging from a bar or vertical ladder (crawling on a slope which promotes natural crawling activation) Gravity/Antigravity activities -- rolling, somersaulting and hanging upside down. music on a video: “Golden Gates“ (Chill Out Mix) by Changer
