Salma Ya Salama is an Egyptian popular song (composed by Sayed Darwish), re-released in 1977 by artist Dalida in Egyptian Arabic, then in French. It was among the first Ethnic fusion hit in all the world, recorded in four languages (Egyptian Arabic, French, German, and Italian: “Uomo di sabbia“), and was credited to a singer with the name “Singer of Peace“ in Egypt that same year.
