In my opinion the best (and one of the funniest) of the many versions of “IN THE MOOD“, as played by Glenn Miller & The Army Air Force Band. It’s from one of those “I Sustain The Wings“ broadcasts and was aired, respectively recorded on November 13, 1943. Vince Carbon can be heard on tenorsax, Bobby Nichols on trumpet, Trigger Alpert was pluckin’ the bass, and Ray McKinley made those funny remarks and was behind the drums.
