Envelope (Double) Border - a new way

Left handers may prefer to watch Do you find the slip stitch round usually recommended for starting an envelope border around an overlay mosaic crochet project awkward or time consuming? I know I do ... I initially developed a method using front post sts, which was a definite improvement in my opinion (see my Easy Envelope Border video ), but it can be a little bulky for some finer projects. And then, while laying awake in the middle of the night, I had a bit of a ’lightbulb’ moment! With just a simple adjustment to the way you work your edge stitches (adding a chain between the edge stitch and the design) you can quickly and easily pick up the stitches for your border without the need for a round of slip stitches, and without the extra bulk from front post sts!
