Depeche Mode - Waiting for the night 2023 cover

It’s been 33 years since DM released this masterpiece. I’ve always felt it’s one of their strongest songs and this is how I want to honour it in 2023 - using modern day analog synths ( one “hybrid” synth) and hardware sequencers. Vocals provided by my daughter & video production done by Martin Lööf. :: SYNTHS Behringer 2600 Blue Marvin: Main arp motif, drums Sequential Prophet X: Pads, strings, chorus arps, impacts & ambiences Moog Minitaur: Bass Upright piano: Chords, impacts :: SEQUENCING & ARRANGEMENT Main arp motif and bass sequenced by Elektron Analog Keys (x2) and recorded as separate stems into Elektron Octatrack where final arrangement took place. Pads, strings, chorus arps, impacts & ambiences recorded live to Elektron Octatrack (x2) for fx and arrangement. :: RECORDING Recorded to Elektron Octatrack (x2) and internally resampled there to stems before exported through USB.
