St Mary’s Cathedral and St Michael’s Church at Hildesheim - UNESCO World Heritage Site

These two churches are in the town of Hildesheim in northern Germany, and have remained largely unchanged since their construction in the 11th century. Both have very distinct architectural styles, and some incredible treasures inside - the church’s painted ceiling, and the cathedral’s amazing bronze doors. Definitely a hidden gem, this one!
