Winston Cup Museum’s Final Days: Huge NASCAR Collection Headed to Auction (A Man and His Dream)

The historic Winston Cup Museum in downtown Winston Salem NC is closing down for good in December 2023. Museum owner Will Spencer also owns JKS Incorporated, where he has been doing promotional work for NASCAR and its race teams for 40 years. Over his career in racing Will accumulated a significant collection of NASCAR race cars, some of which carry legendary historic value. Among the cars headed for the auction block at MECUM are an authentic Dale Earnhardt raced Monte Carlo, Original 1970 Super Bird wing car, the prototype NASCAR LR series Pontiac Sunbird, and numerous cup series cars with race history. Will Spencer built this museum in 2005 as a tribute to the greatest era in stock car racing. It is a sad day when a museum like this is driven to closure. Channel T-Shirts Hats and Decals!
